Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign up or log in?

No. Anyone can search and use the map right away, for free, without creating an account or logging in.

What kinds of venues are listed?

About 1,700 nursing rooms and baby care rooms in Tokyo, in station buildings, department stores, shopping centers, ward-run facilities and more. Coverage spans the whole of Tokyo, from the 23 wards to the Tama area, including major spots such as Tokyo Station, Shibuya and Ikebukuro. All listings are based on information checked on each venue's official website.

Can I find nursing rooms near me?

Yes. Tap the “My location” button to see venues within 2km of you, sorted from nearest. Your location is used only inside your browser to filter the list; it is never sent to a server or stored.

Can I tell which venues fathers can use?

Use the “Shared area fathers can use” filter to narrow the list to venues with shared spaces or diaper changing facilities that men can enter.

Can I find places with hot water for formula?

Yes. Use the “Hot water for formula” filter to show only venues that provide hot water for preparing formula.

How accurate is the information?

Every listing is based on the venue's official website or its operator's official guidance, and each one shows the date it was last checked. Opening hours and facilities can change, so we recommend checking the venue's official link for the latest details before you head out.

Can I also find restaurants that are easy to visit with a baby?

Yes. Switch to the “Baby-friendly restaurants” tab to see Tokyo restaurants where we have confirmed details such as stroller access, high chairs and private rooms. We also include a short Japanese phrase you can use when calling to book.

Are there stations to watch out for when using the subway with a stroller?

Rail operators state that step-free routes are in place, but at some stations that route includes a stairlift - a wheelchair device a staff member must operate, which strollers usually cannot use. We checked the official information for 315 stations (144 Tokyo Metro, 72 JR East, 99 Toei Subway) and mark on the map the 8 stations you cannot travel between street level and the platform by elevator alone (Hatchobori, Nakano, Takao, Shin-Nihombashi, Bakurocho, Takanawadai, Sengakuji and Jimbocho) plus the 29 where part of the route, typically a transfer, uses a stairlift. Turn on "Also show subway station elevator exits" to see them.

Can I also find places where babies can play?

Yes. Switch to the "Play spaces" tab to see 182 indoor places in Tokyo where children aged 0-3 can play: 129 public ones, such as municipal parenting rooms and the infant sessions at children's centres (87 of them officially stated as free), and 53 paid ones such as KID-O-KID and ASOBono!. You can narrow the list to free venues or to those with a dedicated 0-2 area. Prices and opening hours come from each facility's or local government's official website.
